The Land Acquisition proceedings were initiated and Sec. IV Notification was issued. But since the Govt. had issued instructions to keep all Infrastructural Projects on hold, the Sec. IV Notification has lapsed. At the instructions of Government, action is already taken to start Land Acquisition proceedings. The present area proposed to be acquired is 406 acres.
IT RESORT AT MANDREM - HARMAL:
ITG had initiated action to have IT Resort at Mandrem - Harmal. Cabinet had taken a decision to transfer 44 acres of land to ITG. However, the project is on hold as per the instructions of the Government one Mr. Domingos Fernandes has claimed leasehold right on the part of the said land. Collector vide order dated 19th November 2007 terminated the said lease. Now the matter is with Administrative Tribuinal at Panjim.
